Universal Data Authorization for Consistency, Clarity, and Scale

The Okera Dynamic Access Platform automatically authorizes and audits all data requests and dynamically enforce data security policies for structured data

Universal Data Authorization for Consistency, Clarity, and Scale

For customers that need the same ABAC-based control over their structured and semi-structured data, archTIS has partnered with Okera, the Universal Data Authorization company

Structured vs Unstructured Data Protection

The archTIS suite of products provide data-centric attribute-based control over unstructured data like files, documents and images – but what about structured data such as records (or transactions) in a database?

We’ve partnered with Okera to bolster our toolset and your protection over structured and unstructured data.

Simplify and scale policies across data platforms

Okera’s universal policy builder allows data stewards and data owners to author universal data access policies without writing a line of code. Okera combines role-based (RBAC) and attribute-based access control (ABAC), leveraging user, data, and context attributes to define fine-grained access control policies that can be written once and applied everywhere.

Provision and restrict access to data at the column, row, and cell level with conditional logic in order to comply with data security mandates and privacy regulations.

Enforce data security and privacy policies for structured data with every request

Filter, hide, mask, and tokenize sensitive data as it’s queried. Okera’s universal policies are enforced dynamically, transparently and consistently across all analytics tools at runtime, eliminating rogue datasets and complex enforcement infrastructure.

To enforce universal real-time access controls, the policy authorization engine adapts to: user attributes, roles, and current context (e.g., department, position, geographic location or region); data attributes and classifications (e.g., PII, public); compute engine capabilities and limitations

Know who has access to sensitive data, how and when they used it

Okera captures every action on both data and metadata – from queries to changes in policy – for an audit log that remains consistent across every tool accessing the data platform. The log files are exposed as external system tables, which allows easy reporting and analytics using the Okera web UI and a wide variety of BI and reporting tools.

Organizations need near real-time visibility into all data access requests to mitigate a variety of risks, including data breaches and regulatory fines. Accelerate compliance reporting, discover and remediate inappropriate data usage, and speed up incident response times with Okera’s centralized auditing and reporting capabilities.

enterprise platform architecture

Designed for maximum flexibility, scalability, and interoperability

The platform is cloud-native with support for hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure, and high-performing workloads with multiple concurrent users. Clients can request data authorization using native client libraries (e.g., for Spark or Python), a BI Gateway for JDBC/ODBC connectivity, or a REST API for programmatic enforcement requests. Leverage Python, Java, and REST APIs for custom integrations and enterprise workflow automation.
