Latest Release of archTIS’ NC Protect for M365 Introduces New Integrations with Microsoft Teams and ISEC7

New capabilities expand data protection to file sharing in Teams and extend ‘Bring Your Own Classification’ model to ISEC7 classifications

Canberra, Australia – archTIS Limited (ASX:AR9, OTCQB:ARHLF), a global provider of data-centric software solutions for the secure collaboration of sensitive information, today announced the latest release of NC Protect for Microsoft 365 (M365) v9, featuring integration with Microsoft Teams and ISEC7 CLASSIFY to strengthen secure collaboration across Microsoft 365.

As organizations increasingly rely on Microsoft Teams for internal and external collaboration, the platform’s chat and file-sharing capabilities have become central to daily operations. However, speed and flexibility come with risk. User-managed collaboration tools can create challenges in maintaining control over data access and enforcing compliance with organizational sharing and usage policies. Over-permissioned channels and unintentional file sharing can expose sensitive information, creating regulatory and security risks. What begins as seamless collaboration can result in unintended exposure, policy violations, and heightened regulatory and security risk.

The latest release of NC Protect for M365 transforms how organizations secure collaboration within Microsoft Teams. NC Protect now addresses these challenges by enabling organizations to dynamically secure file sharing within Teams Channels in accordance with established access and sharing policies. The new Secure Document Library augments the standard file-sharing tab in a Teams channel, delivering secure, policy-enforced access control and data protection. This enables organizations to dynamically adjust access to shared files, control what users can view, define how information may be shared, and determine appropriate recipients, enforced by NC Protect’s attribute-based access control (ABAC) policies.

Ryan Tully, Chief Product Officer at archTIS, said, “Microsoft Teams has become essential to modern collaboration, but it also increases the risk of unintended data exposure. With this release, we are embedding dynamic, policy-driven protection directly into Teams. By combining attribute-based access control, organizations can enforce precise, context-aware security controls that protect sensitive information while maintaining productivity and meeting compliance requirements.”

Another key enhancement in this release is the integration of ISEC7 CLASSIFY. The new ISEC7 CLASSIFY integration is part of NC Protect’s ‘Bring Your Own Classification’ model. By combining classification metadata embedded by ISEC7 CLASSIFY with NC Protect’s ABAC capabilities, customers can meet complex regulatory and security requirements for handling and disseminating sensitive unstructured data. ISEC7 CLASSIFY metadata can now be incorporated directly into the product’s dynamic ABAC policies. Joint customers benefit from enhanced sensitive data labeling and dissemination controls, supported by dynamic access and protection policies designed to meet stringent government, defense, and enterprise compliance requirements.

New capabilities included in the latest release of NC Protect for M365 v9 include:

  • Microsoft Teams Integration – NC Protect’s Secure Document Library augments the file-sharing tab in a Teams channel, enabling secure, ABAC policy-enforced access control and data protection. Organizations can dynamically adjust access to and protection of files shared in Teams to control what users can see, how they can share information, and with whom.
  • ISEC7 CLASSIFY Integration – Classification metadata from ISEC7 CLASSIFY can be combined with user and security attributes in NC Protect’s dynamic ABAC policies to prevent unauthorized access and enable tailored data protection controls.

NC Protect for M365 with Microsoft Teams and ISEC7 integration is now available, empowering organizations to confidently collaborate while safeguarding business-critical and regulated information.
