Engagement to extend NC Protect capabilities to data in Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (Power BI)
Canberra, Australia — 6 July 2023 — archTIS Limited (ASX:AR9, OTCQB:ARHLF), a global provider of innovative software solutions for the secure collaboration of sensitive information, today announced that the Company has signed an agreement with an Australian university to extend NC Protect capabilities to data in Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (Power BI).
As a current archTIS client the university has seen the value in extending NC Protect’s data-centric access controls from unstructured data (Microsoft documents) in SharePoint to structured data (data held in databases) managed by Power BI. This contract is to provide services to the value of $270,000 to extend NC Protect functionality to Power BI. This project will open new opportunities for NC Protect in the business intelligence market.
archTIS’ NC Protect dynamically secures sensitive information by applying zero trust enforcement policies to data-centric access controls across Microsoft 365, SharePoint on-premises and file share environments. This work will extend NC Protect’s unique capabilities to structured data sets managed by Power BI and will open the market for NC Protect to other Power BI users.
Power BI converts data into rich interactive visualizations, utilizing business analytics tools to share dashboard-based insights across all devices. According to 6Sense Microsoft Power BI share 13.89% of the Business Intelligence market. Fortune Business Insights estimate the Business Intelligence market to be worth US$29.4B in 2023 and growing to US$54B by 2030.
Daniel Lai, archTIS Managing Director, said, “This contract is an important step to open new market and platform opportunities for NC Protect. The use case and functionality are being driven by the university, which is an existing customer that recognises the advantages that NC Protect provides to secure their information assets in SharePoint. They now want to extend that capability to their Power BI environment.” Lai continued, “This is another milestone achievement that demonstrates we are successfully executing our strategy to be the preferred provider of policy enforcement products to Defence and the Defence Industry.”
